wHY SHOULD I TRAVEL TO THANE FROM BORIVALI/PANVEL/GOREGAON
A: now matter how much we wish, but the fact remains that mumbai have very few,if any, places for real training of entrance exams. so we have been seeing girls, mainly, and boys coming to our centre from napean sea road, Pune,Nagothane(near Roha),borivali, andheri, nerul, byculla, badlapurMatheran, and many parts of mumbai and maharashtra to pass entrance exams.they studied really very hard and passed. its all about personal training. so two hours learning from Vivek in a week is equivalent to 30-40 hours training in some coaching class!!!! The power of knowledge. Sau sonaar ki, ek lohar ki
Be it Saachi or Praniti or Kamini or Swati or Medha...all travelled to Thane west and (even reached early at 8am )....all are successful in their colleges or careers... there is no substitute for hard work
Q: but will i not waste time in travelling to Thane
A:Not at all. it is an investment. we will plan in such a way that you actually spend less hours in travelling and gain VERY high quality training in a few hours. See, it is very easy to understand, you spend 4 hours in travelling + 2-4 hours in training. So total is 8 hours. but then you are travelling only for a day or two. so total investment of time is about 15-16 hours in a week. And all this INPUT will give you GREAT output,as you are getting personal attention all the way.
We will even teach you how to utilize every minute of the travel time
NDA exam training
Q: What is your training pattern for a class Xi student.we live at Malad
A: For class XI student, the time left is exactly one year. So a student joining Class XI in June 2015 will give his first NDA exam in September 2016!!! So we help him plan for his college ,coaching and entrance exams. We strongly recommend you to not to put him for any coaching class for class xi or xii(Anyways our training covers XI,XII syllabus)
Q: But he already goes for a coaching class for xi and xii combined
A: We understand. So we will help him find 7 hours per week in his timetable for NDA training -at home ,in college or just anywhere. And we will plan every week for him so that he maximizes the free time he has. Infatc colleges do not start before July 15. So all days before July 15 we make them study really very hard.
Q:How made days does he have to attend the class
A: Weekly once or twice seems sufficient in your case. but final decision will be taken in the counselling session by vivek himself
Q:What is counselling
A:Counselling is the first and compulsory part of our training. its fees is included in our training fees. we will call both the parents and the student and guide and plan meticulously for each and every day for the next year.read counselling page for details
Q: What about his interview and SSB training
A: Usually people have a myth that interveiws and SSB training can be done after written test. we start all training from day one. we have to develop the students habits and sanskar from day one
Q: Are you from the defence forces. how can you guide about the ssb interview.i have myself served as a Major in the army, and i think only army Ex-SSB examiners can train
A: This is a very big myth. As a Student Psychologist Vivek can train for SSB or any interview or personality test. the students is checked for only basic skills and not for something out of the world. In north India, there are many good training institutes for NDA which employ only ex SSB examiners. and this has lead to the common misbelief about SSB training.
Q:I have heard about an ex Armyman training in some part of mumbai. why should our son train from you
A: There are many people, like ex servicemen and Rotary and many social groups who want to help our youngsters to go for the defence forces. but either they don't know how to guide or they conduct career Fairs or they train only for interview and not the written test. Also, as students ourselves last so many years we had visited these places and found that out of hundreds who join these institutes only a few handful photos are placed on their notice boards for having passed the exams. so their success rate is not even one percent!!! but at our place Rahul Sabnis, Rohan, Ahishek, Parth, Terence and Nachiket -all have passed. success rate till today for NDA is 100 PERCENT.
Infact the name Thane Study Circle was given by Rahul Sabnis who made us start this Group. And it was a all Boys group for one full year.
Q:What is the best age to start training
A:Today, we start training students from class 5th or 8th onwards for various Defence exams and government exams. Earlier the better
Current Batches: Thane. Navi Mumbai and Mumbai
Q: I have given NDA once but couldn't pass. I need someone who can guide and train me both
A: That' s what we faced a few years ago.so we made a study group for guiding juniors,as we saw the culture in northern India specially
Q: Do you have printed notes
A: You cannot study an entrance by some notes. You need a library of books.and that's what we have made-a library for all books for all entrance exams
Q: How much time does it take to prepare. What are the subjects?
A: Any entrance exam needs months and years of planned studies. We recommend at least Six months to start with.
The First paper is Maths of upto class XII level
The second paper is of English and General Studies which covers History, geography, current affairs, science, teaching aptitude etc. usually passing this section is the hardest part.
Q: When is the Exam ?
A: It is in April and September every year.
Q: Which is the best method to study for such exams?
A: In this exam there will be 200 questions. For each question less than 1 minute is alloted. No doubt the questions wont be difficult. But the real test is to solve it within the given time frame. Here the competition is with our own speed. You need to learn VEDIC MATHS and improve your READING SPEED. While practising it is very important to set a time limit & see to it that each question is solved in less than a minute. This cannot be achieved in a single day or in a few months. Apart from having knowledge of basic concepts it is essential to solve papers & practise regularly.
Q: What has reading speed got to do with this exam?
A: The questions asked in most of the competitive exams are very long. It takes about 2 minutes to read each question for a person who doesn't have the knack of reading. Then solving takes another one minute. Just imagine! 3 minutes for one question!!! You cant afford to do that. Rather having a practise of reading & solving questions daily will definitely help you a lot.
Q:Should we join some coaching class for the exam?
A: No. Our state governments has not made our school syllabus compatible with entrance exams. So we need extra training. In school and college we had a limited syllabus, for which the coaching class system evolved. But for entrance exams we need Study Groups or Study Circles. As Vivek was not happy with the few coaching classes, so he and his friends decided to make one for all exams.
Q: So what is the difference in the training of coaching classes and your Study Circle?
A: In coaching classes they enrol thousands of students, but only a handful pass the Bank Exams. So their success rate is not even 1%. Whereas in our Study Circle, we enrol a few students and nearly every one passes. Our success rate is more than 90%.
Q: How?
A: We in Thane Study Circle don't teach you concepts, rather we make you learn them & understand them better. We can only guide you in your learning methods & providing study material. But practising what you learn has to be done by you.
Q: Do you have training for college or school students?
A: Yes, infact we always recommend you to start early. We have our Regular Training batches which is only once in a week for one or more years.
Q: I am in class XII. Am I late to start. How should I study?
A: We do have short term batches for 3/6 months where you can come once/twice a week. but input has to be from your side.
Q: Is 3 months or 6 months or one year sufficient to pass the exam?
A: Depends person to person. We have seen students pass in 3 months also. Although, it is very difficult to study & practise in such a short time. So we request students to also take up the next exam which is conducted every 6 months so that they can prepare well.
Q: How should I study for Interview/GD? should I start only after passing the written test?
A: You should start the preparations right from Day 1. Your personality can not be honed and polished in a few weeks. Also as this part deals with your logical reasoning skills, which needs time, you should make it a part of your personality. We provide you with a combined training for both the written and Oral sections.
Q: What is the passing marks?
A: Not fixed. It changes for every exam. There is a cut-off for each section.
Q: What is the passing rate?
A: Lakhs of students apply. Only a few hundred seats are available.
Q: Do I get in NDA by passing the written exam?
A: No, this is the first step. nest is the SSB interview.
Q: Are the exams hard. Will i ever pass?
A: Yes you can. But you have you plan and improve your skills of reading and solving speed.
Q: What is your method of Preparation that you say all students pass?
A: Very simple. we think we are giving the exam, not you.
We start by solving MCQ to the maximum, that's what is the strategy which is alien to all coaching classes in mumbai-they just print and xerox the questions and leave it upto you- and in the absence of a definite study plan you as a student are unable to solve them.
next the concepts are done in very very very very deep. You have to fight national level students,so we have to prepare you as the best in the country. You definitely will,if you want. We take only 100 students in a year
SSB Psychological Test training
Once, while traveling Local train to CST I happened to meet Captain Rakesh, and he said- its easy to train as an Officer in the army, but getting there is more difficult”
Guys, and parents, please get this fact very clear- SSB IS A PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTand NOT A PHYSICAL TEST
In fact the difference of marks between the top most performer and least performer is very very small.
Psychologist Vivek gives a Boot Camp type training for SSB interviews
